Work in Progress Workshop 12/12/19 at The Fountain House Gallery

Dear friends
I am delighted to present the workshop element of Work in Progress at Fountain House Gallery on Thursday, December 12th from 5-7 pm
During the workshop we will repair, upcycle and transform damaged or incomplete items you'll bring, turning those items into new wearable art creations and rendering them usable again. This workshop encourages storytelling and an exchange of ideas relating to what actions do we take collectively and individually to safeguard our planet and contribute towards positive change.
Join us and be part of this festive evening of art, music, and mingling. You will have an opportunity to support The Fountain House’s programs as you shop at the Annual Small Works exhibition & a pop-up from Fountain House & Body for holiday gifts while enjoying lite bites and upcycle your items.

The Fountain House Gallery and Studio provides an environment where artists living with mental illness can express their creative visions, exhibit their work, and challenge the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

Your friends, colleagues, and family are welcome please
RSVP by December 6th to ariel@fountaingallerynyc.com

Mending & Testing at OCD Chocolate November 2017

Mending & Tasting with OCD Chocolat and  Work in Progress, took place at the fabulous OCD Chocolate at 63 E. 4th Street in the East Village on November 16th 2017. A special tasting of Sebastian Brecht’s hand-made, artisanal chocolates fueled our creations, along with wine and refreshments.
Sebastian Brecht’s art is Chocolate. He has been perfecting his creations for years before opening his shop. His chocolates run the spectrum from junky to genteel, from elemental to ingenious, with good taste being the constant. Because art was always important in his life, he also has rotating exhibits on his chocolate shop wall, and includes a small reproduction of the current show in his chocolate boxes.

Note that I can be commissioned to repair & transform your damaged items as well as creat individualised sculptural elements based on my ongoing projects. A wonderful gift to yourself and loved ones. More can be seen in Moments as well as this blog Work in Progress.
